Pam McGrath

She opened a family restaurant in Brea, California in 1981. The building was made from an abandoned red brick building from the Queen Anne area of Seattle, Washington where she was born. She shipped the bricks to California to a location which still stands today.

She meticulously designed and decorated every detail of the building from the tin ceiling to the etched peaches in the glass of the foyer. The green wicker furniture and large brass elephant decor welcomed families during themed dining nights; Hat day, sushi night, and free piano concerts were among the favorites of patriots to the restaurant. T-shirts with custom logos of each event were worn by staff and friends of the restaurant.

This restaurant was named Magnolia's Peach.

Designed and decorated by my grandmother, Pam McGrath
